Education: Master's degree in Architecture or related Experience: 3 years of experience in aviation architecture & planning. Must have a license in Architecture. Must be National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certified. Must be American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) certified. Requires substantial experience with architecture and aviation planning, design and development. Requires experience with the planning, design and executing of large commercial airports.Job duties: The Planner II position will Compiles, research, organize and analyzes data from various sources, such as maps, reports, and field and file investigations, in making planning studies on economic, social, and physical factors affecting land use to use in reports and large company projects, particularly with the architecture and planning in the aviation industry and with large commercial airports. The employee also prepares or requisitions graphic and narrative reports on data, using statistics, charts, and graphs, to illustrate planning studies in areas such as population land use, or zoning.Other duties include: confers and serve as liaison with local authorities, civic leaders, social scientists, and land planning and development specialists, planning departments and other departments and agencies to devise and recommend arrangements of land and physical facilities for residential, commercial, industrial, and other urban uses; researches governmental measures affecting land use, public utilities, community and military facilities, and housing and transportation to control and guide urban development and renewal and then prepare, maintain and update files and records, including land use data and statistics as well as develop and maintain maps and databases; and reviews and evaluates environmental impact reports applying to specified private and public planning projects and programs. Requires working 24 hours a week at the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Planning Department located in the DFW Airport Headquarters, 2400 Aviation Dr., Dallas, TX 75261.
