Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision, long-term care insurance, flexible spending account, and supplemental retirement plans.Who can apply: Internal/external candidates eligible to work in the United StatesStart Date: July 2020Position Details:The Division of Nursing at Mayville State University is seeking to fill an 11-month full-time tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing position.The Nursing Faculty member is responsible to Chair of the Division of Nursing for development, planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned courses in the nursing division. The faculty member assumes a role in systematic evaluation of Division of Nursing programs for quality improvement and accreditation activities. This position also carries requirements for academic advising, leadership or coordinating role in assigned courses, committee assignments, and service to nursing and the broader community. Position may require active role in development of new programs, as appropriate for qualifications and division needs. The position requires teaching primarily online, with potential for face-to-face on campus, IVN, hybrid, or distance instruction as necessary. Position will require teaching in summer semesters and requires regular on-campus presence (e.g., weekly or more) for division and university functions/meetings. Starting date of July 1st, 2020.Minimum qualifications: Doctorate degree in nursing or related field. Master of Science in Nursing degree with emphasis in nursing leadership and management or related area. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a nurse leader in clinical practice. Current (or eligible for) unencumbered North Dakota Registered Nurse license. Licensure in other states may be required to meet state Board of Nursing requirements for online instruction and/or oversight of student clinical experiences occurring outside of North Dakota. Teaching experience face-to-face, online, IVN and hybrid in a higher education setting. Evidence of related professional development. Background/experience in applying instructional technology as a tool in education (e.g. Excel; Word; Presentation Graphics; LMS).Preferred qualifications: Current unencumbered North Dakota Registered Nurse license. Experience teaching leadership and management courses in higher education. Experience teaching in an online environment.
