Advanced Equipment is accepting applications for a heavy equipment Diesel/Natural gas mechanic for work in Northern VA, MD and DC area. The mechanic will perform various on-site engine repairs on major generator systems such as Caterpillar, Cummins & all other makes. Factory training available and paid for by the employer. Must be able to properly make thorough on-site repair assessments and document findings and parts for repairs. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years’ experience with diesel/natural gas engines. Factory certification a must (Kohler, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Caterpillar, etc; or technical trade school degree/certification in diesel mechanics). Performs a full range of skilled heavy-duty engine repair work, such as major gasket/seals replacements, cylinder head & engine overhauls. Well organized, dependable, valid driver’s license & clean driving record, lift 50lbs or more, good communication skills, formal reports will be filled out meticulously and correctly.
