The position will be directly responsible for day to day operations of the Council’s child development classrooms, and responsible for providing leadership to the teaching staff. The position implements activities to ensure achievement of curriculum, child outcomes and maintenance of NAEYC accreditation, compliance with state licensing requirements, local ordinances and Head Start Performance Standards.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development or a related degree with a minimum of ten courses in early childhood development. Two years related experience in a pre-school setting. Supervisory experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of licensing regulations, Head Start Performance Standards and NAEYC accreditation.Closing Date: February 20, 2020Salary: CSC I (supervises 13 or more staff): $43,846.40 - $48,231.04 yearlyCSC II (supervises 12 or fewer staff): $38,334.40 - $42,167.84 yearly(plus excellent benefits) 10% salary differential for bilingual applicants (English/Spanish)Applications may be obtained at any agency office or by writing or calling or via internet: Community Action Council, P.O.
