Some 40 languages are spoken in Lynn, Massachusetts, a gateway city with a long, storied history.Lynn Community Health Center serves some 40,000 patients a year, many of whom live in adverse circumstances. While medical care is first rate, access to rehabilitation services is limited.Within this setting, a city block away from LCHC, we have launched a pro bono center for Physical Therapy and Nutrition Counseling, to help address issues of pain, mobility and agency that otherwise go unaddressed for too many.The newly established Lynn Health & Wellness Center now seeks professionals eager to do well by doing good, to make real the animating idea of caring for others. In particular, we seek an engaging, spirited, and capable physical therapist to lead the effort to design and implement our physical therapy program. Responsibilities: Evaluate, develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in accordance with State licensing regulations and accepted professional standards of care Work collaboratively with patients, family members, and a multi-disciplinary care team Reach out to the larger community, in particular affiliates of LCHC, to build awareness of the Center and its Physical Therapy and other rehabilitation services Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population with acute and chronic orthopedic disorders Able to work a somewhat flexible work schedule Qualifications: At least five years experience Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy required, Masters or DPT preferred.
