What does a Tagging Solutions Engineer do? The Tagging Solutions Engineers’ primary role is to independently author site tagging for client web sites, applications, and various media campaigns and is expected to understand intermediate to advanced digital marketing principles and channel activities and will create and maintain documentation related to any JavaScript code authored. To ensure accuracy of code, the TS Engineer is responsible for quality assurance on the JavaScript implementation and any data collected as a result of the tracking scripts and other third-party tags. The TS Engineer is expected to have a deep conceptual understanding of the data warehouse structure to keep up with data collection standards on an everyday basis. Data Strategy and information of how analytics data is captured for data visualization platforms will be part of everyday job duties. The position involves a complex programming skillset using advanced JavaScript and jQuery, and Tag Management principles along with advanced knowledge about digital marketing working with data flow I/O, big data sets, SQL, and the ability to interpret, understand and communicate insights about the data. The TS Engineer will be responsible for the backend administration of Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, including, but not limited to Dynamic Tag Management/Launch, report suite and property configuration settings, data validation, data source uploads, video tracking, and marketing channel definitions. The TS Engineer will interface with clients and client IT organizations, as well as participating in project estimation efforts and will be responsible for peer-reviewing other team members’ code as well as authoring new code updates to our existing Analytics Framework and other solution designs. This role requires interfacing with other analytics team members, senior web developers, web designers, email developers, marketing strategists, senior analytics strategists, search analysts, media planners, relationship strategists, project managers, program managers and account service representatives up to senior leadership level. Duties include Create & maintain JavaScript tagging/jQuery and technical implementation documentation. Create and maintain multichannel JavaScript tagging/jQuery solutions for Adobe (web, email, SMS, media, offline). Maintain technical implementation documentation across all channels. Create other data collection JavaScript tagging for vendors. Develop multichannel data-strategy based on business requirements (web, email, SMS, media, offline). Administer data being fed into the Data Warehouse. Develop statistical testing strategies for personalized experiences. Leverage strategic data for audience modeling. Maintain backend analytics systems such as Databases. Assure data collection and filtering in platforms. Peer tagging solution review. Consult with vendors and partner agencies for data strategy solutions. Lead collaboration with internal stakeholders. Develop data collection strategy across healthcare professional focused sales aid applications. Develop Salesforce Marketing Cloud tagging through Salesforce Tag Management. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Google Analytics 360 connector implementation and maintenance. Campaign code syntax definition, tracking code creation, and data classification management. Plan and coordinate the release of tagging implementations across channels. The TS Engineer must have the ability to self-motivate and work independently, be effective in a face-paced, high growth environment, working and collaborating within a team environment, and have the passion to self-educate and keep up-to-date on the latest marketing analytics trends. Job requirements-What are we looking for ? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related discipline and 3 years of experience implementing web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics. Three years of experience to include working with : JavaScript, jQuery and MS Excel. Data reporting and web traffic analysis. Interpreting business needs to determine analytics requirements and written technical documentation. Clearly and concisely communicating with technical and business-oriented colleagues. Utilizing intermediate to advanced knowledge of Tag Management Systems including Google Tag Manager, DTM and others. Development tools, including, Charles, Visual Studio and XCode.Data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau and Business Intelligence. Interpret , understand and communicate insights about data. Handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and paying close attention to detail. Adobe Marketing Cloud product(s) such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Test and Target, Adobe Ad Hoc (formerly Discover).Database design, applications, and data flow. Marketing Cloud technologies.Digital Marketing. Of the three years of experience, at least two years of experience working with the following: Audit tools such as ObservePoint and Sessioncam.Source control systems, databases and data warehouse concepts. Adobe Marketing Cloud administration experience, such as report suite configuration settings, data validation, data classifications, SAINT classifications, video tracking, and marketing channel definitions. Use of Adobe Client Care to troubleshoot issues, both technical and front-end reporting issues. Using platform tools such as Adobe Workspace and Google Data Studio for reporting and web traffic analysis. Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics Certifications are required.
