Operator Trainee/ Operator IThe Snake River Sewer is now accepting applications for either a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I or a Plant Operator Trainee.$15.93-$20.15 depending on qualifications plus Excellent benefits and retirement!Position Duties:The Plant Operator position performs skilled mechanical and technical work for the daily efficient operation and maintenance of the treatment plant.The Plant Operator I position performs many duties including lab testing, skilled and technical operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility and collection system and to effectively and efficiently treat wastewater to meet State and Federal health and environmental standards. Qualifications Applicant should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, but a science-based college degree is preferred. Ideal candidate has a strong background in math and science. Ability to perform physically demanding work is required. The ideal candidate shall possess a Colorado Wastewater Treatment Plant Certificate, a Colorado Class B CDL, mechanical ability and some knowledge of electrical control circuitry, but will train the right candidate. Applicant for Operator I position must additionally have at least one year of experience in dealing with repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, motors or piping systems. Ability to perform simple or routine lab testing procedures or previous experience in wastewater treatment operations, maintenance and repair or electrical troubleshooting or control circuitry would be preferred.Questions?
