EngineeringCorning Optical Communications LLC in San Diego, CA seeks Wireless QA Engineer. Responsible for supporting system integration and testing and quality assurance testing of the SpiderCloud® Enterprise RAN system.Duties include: defining test plans and designing automated test scripts to verify end-to-end system features, LTE protocol conformance, and system performance metrics; analyzing test results, debugging failures, and working with development team to identify root causes and solve problems; performing system characterization and validating that product meets specifications by collecting and processing test data; supporting interoperability testing with core network vendors as part of carrier certification and customer acceptance procedures; and debugging and reproducing issues reported in field trials and commercial deployments. Requires up to 10% domestic travel.Requires Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, Information Technology or related field + 3 years of experience testing 3G/4G systems and related protocols in the telecommunications industry. In the alternative, Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, Information Technology or related field + 1 year of experience testing 3G/4G systems and related protocols in the telecommunications industry is also acceptable. Must include: 1 year of experience analyzing and troubleshooting functionality across L1 through L3 protocol layers, including relevant KPIs in LTE; 1 year of experience using industry standard test tools [i.e. mobile phone loggers and analyzers or core network emulators]; and 1 year of experience creating test plans and setting up test beds. recblid m4juwecq2lw3s8z1i35qgvlkl87z3j
