The Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority is seeking a Housing Choice Voucher Program Specialist. Full-time, 40 hours per week position with excellent benefits including medical insurance and retirement through the Virginia Retirement System.Job duties include conducting ongoing, annual certifications and recertifications; advising and counseling tenants and prospective tenants; preparing and maintaining tenant records and files; processing moves, terminations, evictions, and transfers; informing tenants of policies and procedures; preparing reports; updating computer records; performing various inspections, etc. Considerable experience in housing management required. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college with major course work in business administration, sociology or related field is acceptable. Valid Virginia or North Carolina driver's license required.
