The Division of Adolescent Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is seeking to recruit a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Clinician-Educator line. The Division of Adolescent Medicine at Stanford was established more than 30 years ago, and has a strong clinical and research program and an ACGME-approved Adolescent Medicine subspecialty training program. The Division provides medical and psychosocial services to adolescents and young adults in a wide variety of settings including the Teen and Young Adult Clinic, Eating Disorders Clinic, Gender Clinic, Weight Clinic, the Teen Health Van, Vaden Health Services (serving Stanford college students), and Juvenile Hall. The comprehensive Eating Disorders Program is nationally and internationally known for its work on medical morbidity and psychological treatments for adolescents with eating disorders. The division also leads an active reproductive health consult service in our new children's hospital.Approximately 40% of the candidate's effort will be devoted to providing primary care to adolescents and young adults in a novel state-funded initiative to embed mental health services within primary care. The remainder of the candidate's effort will be to participate in the other clinical and scholarly activities of the division.The successful candidate will have a central role in training of Stanford pediatric residents and medical students and the expansion of research, academic, training and clinical programs within the Division of Adolescent Medicine.Qualifications:Board certified in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and Board certified or eligible in the SubBoard of Adolescent MedicineLicensed or eligible for licensure in the State of CAStanford is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
