HealthcareActivity AssistantWestern Nebraska Veterans Home is seeking a Full-time Activity Assistant capable of working a varied and flexible schedule requiring evening, weekend and holiday work hours. Paraprofessional that would be involved in the planning and delivery of therapeutic services to Members. Resolve routine problems and exercise independent judgment and initiative in planning, implementing, and conducting activities within limits of established procedures.Requirements: Coursework or work experience in a therapy service. Skill in planning and delivery of therapy services such as music, recreational, motivational, or vocational. Knowledge of gerontology and effective methods of working with the elderly and experience with working with volunteers. Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics and assistive devices. Computer knowledge of Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint.
