This position's primary responsibility will be to provide data analysis support that furthers NRPA's goals in the areas of community health & wellness, environmental conservation, and social equity.This position is responsible for running the "NRPAStat" performance measurement system - managing, analyzing, and reporting on key data that helps the Programs & Partnerships team measure its progress toward long-term grant results in the health, conservation, and social equity mission areas. This position also will play a key role providing evaluation support for specific grant programs in communities across the United States.At NRPA you will be an instrumental part of advancing the organization's strategic priorities focused on building healthy communities, ensuring equitable access, and climate resilience. You will report to the Senior Evaluation Manager and work with a group of passionate, creative, and fun leaders dedicated to creating more equitable, healthy, and resilient communities through parks. Responsibilities: Executing the day-to-day responsibilities of the NRPAStat performance measurement system : Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual data collection and management Analyzing trends with a wide variety of data sources and drawing conclusions for the Research and Programs & Partnerships teams Reporting the data through online dashboards, PowerPoint presentations, and in highly interactive meetings & presentations Providing evaluation support for several grant programs : Measuring the long-term impact of a national community health initiative using a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative data sources Conducting park observations and administering neighborhood surveys for a playground renovation project Analyzing and reporting on grantee data collected through semi-annual reports across programs Collaborating with the Senior Evaluation Manager and members of the Research Team to improve the way that NRPA measures the performance and long-term impact of its grant initiatives in communities around the country Representing NRPA at conferences, meetings and site visits with local park and recreation agencies. Partnering with all NRPA departments to maximize the value of each project within the Programs & Partnerships portfolio. Undertaking special projects and assignments as directed. Seeking new methodologies for evaluating the impact of NRPA's grants in communities in the areas of public health, conservation, and social equity. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or continued education equivalent or industry certification or equivalent 3-5 years of work experience with data management and analysis Educational experience with data analysis and statistics (coursework involving use of Excel and analysis of quantitative data - pivot tables; regressions; use of basic formulas) Strong knowledge level of Microsoft Excel; Experience with Tableau, SPSS, and ArcGIS preferred Passion for parks and recreation, health equity, community health, emerging public health threats, and/or social justice Excellent ability to communicate effectively data and key findings to different audiences.
