Staff Research Associate 2 Min $24.67 to Mid $30.66, 100% FT position w/full benefits. University of CA, Kearney Ag Research & Extension Center, Parlier, CA. Under supervision, conduct specialized research support operations in greenhouses, postharvest, insectaries,laboratories, ancillary support facilities, & other agricultural & natural resources research areas. Perform laboratory, greenhouse, cultural & post harvest practices in Calif. specialty crops. Lead educational outreach programs for primarily school age children, & adults. Knowledge of research practices, safe chemical use, & standard operating procedures. Computer, organizational, verbal & writing skills required. Flexibility & travel required. Ability to use backpacks weighing 50 lbs required. Valid CA Driver’s License to drive a County or University vehicle, participate in DMV Pull Notice required. Must have Qualified Applicators Certificate or possess within 6 months of hire. Employment is contingent upon successfully clearing an FBI/DOJ background check.
