Description:
Our client is seeking two Shift Managers, this is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the production department. This role requires daily supervision and guidance of production line personnel, with a strong emphasis on ensuring that the company's standards are met and continuously improved. The position is in Kentucky.The Shift Manager is expected to:Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of production employees to enhance productivity and achieve the company's goals.Utilize various production reports to review daily production in alignment with customer requirements, interpreting data such as throughput and yield within the department.Advocate for a safe work environment and ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA. This includes adhering to policies related to food product handling, packaging, and environmental safety.Collaborate with various operational departments such as Human Resources, Safety, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Shipping to meet production expectations.Maintain discipline, teamwork, and safety among employees, taking responsibility for their work efforts and conducting performance appraisals.Manage scheduling, track attendance, and review/approve time-off requests for your team.Foster a cooperative and harmonious work environment to enhance employee morale, productivity, and continuous improvement.Lead a team of skilled workers to consistently meet hourly and daily production standards and goals.Oversee the cleanliness and organization of production lines and areas.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in food manufacturing.5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, including team management.USDA experience is highly preferred.Positions are open on a 1st and a 2nd shiftStrong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, including HACCP, SOPs, and SSOPs,Experience with Tray Sealer/Thermoforming/Flow wrapping equipment is a plus.Great financial package including an annual bonus, solid benefits and relocation assistance.
