Physical Therapist (Full Time) Neuro-Rehab | Leonard Florence Center for Living - Chelsea, MA Position Summary:We are in search of Physical Therapist who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines to provide excellent care to a mix of Neuro and Rehab patients. This is a unique facility that provides PT services for individuals with ALS, MS, or other progressive neurological diseases in addition to a short term rehab facility. If you enjoy technology, creative thinking, power mobility/wheelchair fitting this position would be a great fit. As a member of our Rehab Team, the Physical Therapist provides caring and compassionate services to our residents to include assessment and treatment and initiation of referrals when appropriate and in accordance with department procedures.Qualifications:o MS/DPT in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (recent grads encouraged to apply)o Successful completion of National Certification Examination for Registered Physical Therapisto Current state licensure in Massachusettso Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, equipment and/or residents.o Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend or crouch regularlyo Must be able to use hands to manipulate tools, equipment, or controlso Must be able to reach with hands and arms, balance, lift and perform medium to maximum transfer assists with residentso Must have visual and hearing acuity sufficient enough to assess resident safety and ability membersPrimary Responsibilities:o Provides Physical Therapy services to residents and initiates referrals when appropriateo Conduct screenings of residents as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation to determine need for intervention/treatmento Evaluates residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
