For nearly 30 years, ABC Children's Center has been serving the State College community. The Grays Woods center is located next to GW Elementary School, nestled among trees in a park like setting. We have a position open for an energetic and motivated individual that would be able to establish and maintain a safe and creative learning environment in a variety of our classrooms. Being part-time, you would get to work in several different classrooms with different ages. This position has flexible hours; afternoon hours are preferred. Responsibilities include Working along side of a lead teacher Communicating daily with parents Maintaining a neat, organized classroom Providing a nurturing, caring environment for the children in your care Ability to work independently and within our team Qualifications At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED (Degree preferred) At least two years of experience with children (in a childcare center preferred) Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents, both written and verbally Have, or be willing to get, required clearances Have, or be willing to get, a physical with TB test ABC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
