General Library Volunteers aid staff with a variety of tasks including photocopying, restocking supplies, assembling information packets and providing general office assistance. They also clean, sort and shelve library materials and shelf reading.Eligibility: All volunteers with an interest in being a part of library operations, suitable for those who like to put things in order.Requirements: Training, dependability, accuracy. For shelving, volunteer must be able to alphabetize and put items in numerical order. Many of these tasks involve lifting, bending or reaching; not recommended for those with shoulder, knee or back problems.Availability: Two Saturdays or two Sundays a month as available.
