Philadelphia Country Club is a large private member Country Club who is looking to add a General Maintenance Technician to our Maintenance Department. Job Duties: Responsibilities with this position include a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks which include troubleshooting, maintenance, preventative maintenance, modification, and repair work to all buildings, utilities, mechanical equipment, and Clubhouse and Grounds repairs. Repairs may include items such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and basic repairs to boiler, furnace, air conditioning systems, paining, or replacing light bulbs. - Carpentry : perform general carpentry in the areas of framing, walls, office furniture, roofs, shelves, and door repair. - Plumbing : perform plumbing repairs on toilets, urinals, sinks, and drains. Repair leaks, open clogged lines and drains, replace washers and other parts. Troubleshoot causes of plumbing issues, repair, or offer solutions. - Electrical : change relays, contactors, small transformers, outlets, and light switches. Troubleshoot causes of electrical outages, identify possible electrical problems, repair, or offer solutions. Inspects electrical systems for unsafe conditions. - HVAC : change filters, clean coils, pump, and motor lubrication, and belt changes. Identify and troubleshoot system problems and repair or offer solutions. Job Requirements: - Two to four years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and experience with demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities. - Knowledge and understanding of the various maintenance methods used in the above-mentioned trades. - Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved to build and repair. Ability to identify the appropriate tool or method which should be utilized for each task assigned. - Ability to troubleshoot causes of operating errors and deciding what needs to be corrected. - Understand and follow oral and written directions; must be able to communicate problems, repairs, and estimated costs with the Facilities Director. - Well organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed individual with strong trade and project management skills. - While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to use considerable use of fingers, arms, legs, along with climbing, lifting, balancing, and walking. Must be able to move and lift up to 50 pounds. This position is required to work outdoors and will be exposed to all weather conditions. - Must meet PCC standards for uniform, grooming, and hygiene.
