GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for ensuring daily warehouse productivity and downtime goals are met through consistent teammate engagement. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures equipment needed to receive, replenish, pick and load orders are accounted for before and after shift. Conducts daily pre-shift headcount against weekly manpower reports. Records and reports daily shift attendance and shift attendance exceptions to Area Managers. Ensures warehouse associates have equipment and supplies needed to perform job. Works with other Shift Supervisors to keep warehouse manpower balanced to ensure a daily efficient workflow. Moves between all area of the warehouse as required or directed to ensure consistent warehouse communication across the warehouse. Reports and monitors machine breakdowns to reduce work stoppage. Conducts daily work quality and time on task checks during shift and acts as needed to correct exceptions to work quality and time on task goals. Conducts initial warehouse safety incident investigation reports and submits to Operations Managers as needed. Assigns and supervises daily sanitation tasks needed to ensure warehouse sanitation goals. Responsible for warehouse equipment, inventory, startup, flow, load quality, safety and sanitation. QUALIFICATIONS: Team player Customer focused Ability to communicate and gather facts to make informed decisions. Ability to work various shifts as needed. Safety-conscious with demonstrated safe working habits Highly dependable with a strong work history High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation to and from Cooper-Booth Wholesale Ability to lift, pull, push, stack, and carry items up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis Ability to move around three levels of a mezzanine and a 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse throughout duration of shift Comfortable working in an upbeat, fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Language skills required: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication KEY COMPETENCIES: Basic computer literacy, supervisory experience COMPENSATION: $50,500 - 65,500 based on experience Job Posted by ApplicantPro
