R2C is seeking a Maintenance Engineer supporting the Tactical Ground Communications Branch in the Engineering, & Systems Directorate located in APG, MD at the DEVCOM C5ISR Center. Responsibilities: Preparation, review and revision of Technical Manuals, Repair of Bills of Material (BOMs) Reviewing and maintaining a technical data package. Develop and review maintenance concepts by performing Level of Repair Analyses (LORAs). Evaluate the ability to conduct repairs and testing of both contractors and organic facilities. Candidate will also be well­-versed in the conduct of Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) and Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action (FRACAS). In addition, candidate will have familiarity with configuration management and developing quality management plans. Specifically, the ability to review and creating engineering change proposals, understand basic principles of configuration management, and how to incorporate quality acceptance limits into depot product acceptance testing. The engineer will also be required to prepare and provide technical input to contracting documents (Performance Work Statements, Independent Government Estimates, etc.) Ancillary duties will also include maintaining administrative awareness of ongoing projects and taskings, conducting and participating in project reviews and briefings, both formal and informal. Other tasks/duties may be assigned to support the overall PRO Production Engineering focus area. More About the Role: Performance Based Logistics Planning, Material Releases Condition-Based Maintenance Requirements Determination Maintenance Concept Developments (LORA, COMPASS, & SESAME) Long-Term System Reliability (MTBF, MTTR) Analyses System Maintainability Assessments Technical Manuals (TMs) Repair Parts Special Tools Lists (RPSTLs) Maintenance Demonstrations Maintenance Allocation Charts (MACs) Equipment Improvement Recommendations Demilitarization (DEMIL) Provisioning Management Maintenance Concepts Requirements: ABET Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of experience. Knowledge of and experience in the Army Maintenance Engineering field. A working knowledge and fundamental understanding of lifecycle management principles and logistics surrounding the sustainment and fielding of military communications and electronic systems. Candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical/electronic component functions, applications, assembly, packaging, and testing, and related terminology, as well as a basic understanding of other component types (mechanical, electro-mechanical, COTS). Candidate should have experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and datasheets. Position requires strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to learn custom databases/software-search solutions. Preferred Requirements: Experience with current military communications and electronics systems (C51SR and/or PEO C3T systems preferred). Experience with Satellite Communications and Radio Frequency communications is highly desirable. Experience using File Repository/Knowledge management applications such as SharePoint, COMPASS or equivalent software, Windchill and/or CAD systems. Experience with Commercial Parts Research Databases such as MORE, IHS Haystack Gold, Total Parts Plus and QStar.
