WYATT FIELD SERVICE COMPANY POSITION TITLE: IT Support Specialist REPORTS TO: IT Manger POSITION SUMMARY: IT Support Specialists is responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating technology issues for internal personnel located remotely and in the office. Provide technical support, maintenance, and setup of company computer systems. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Essential Functions Provide support to all remote and office users of personal computers, network, mid-range systems, and related peripherals including installation and maintenance of technical systems, troubleshooting common technology problems related to Internet connectivity, hardware and software issues, operating systems, data security and network connectivity. Employ Written and oral communication skills; be the first contact for phone tech support. Operation of company software packages. Provide maintenance for office and jobsite (remote) computers. Schedule remote computer maintenance through the users. Troubleshoot hardware and software related problems. Employ good organizational skills. Employ sound decision making and problem-solving skills to resolve issues. Marginal Functions Maintain a neat, safe, and orderly work environment. Perform additional assignments as directed. Potential for travel to the various job sites located throughout United States. Physical Activities: Physical activities commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. Sit for extended periods; view computer monitors for long periods of time; type on a keyboard; walk, verbally communicate, stand, climb, crawl, kneel, lift; drive a vehicle. Physical Demands: Physical demands commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. Reach for, handle, and manipulate objects. Use hands and arms to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Visual Acuity: Visual activities commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. See well (either naturally or with correction) and focus clearly on objects at varying distances. POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Knowledge: Proficient SharePoint. Windows Operating System basic use and troubleshooting. Knowledge of computer operations and troubleshooting is required. Technical aptitude. Analytical skills. Experience: Microsoft SCCM to install operating system and software. Hardware troubleshooting. Knowledge of IP networks. Setup and Training end-users on computer and smartphone. Some college courses in a related field a plus. Equipment and Work Aids: (Which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.) Computer hardware and software, including Microsoft products (Windows, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint); internet use and innovation. Ability to learn other software, if required, with company-provided training. License(s)/Certification(s) Required: Valid state-issued driver's license.
