Respiratory Aide Department : Respiratory Therapy Reports To : Respiratory Supervisor Job Summary : Assists with daily operational tasks including patient billing, cleaning and reprocessing of Respiratory equipment, assist with department organization, re-stocking and inventory. Job Responsibilities : Disassembles, cleans and reassembles respiratory critical care equipment. Assists in ensuring optimal storage and par levels of supplies. Monitors location of equipment and updates equipment status board. Maintains appropriate PAR levels of medical gases and is responsible for returning empty and restocking department with full tanks. Evaluates Oxygen usage on medical floors and assists with charges Assists with routine daily equipment checks and restocks as necessary Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above. Requirements : Education - High School graduate with current enrollment/matriculation in an NBRC accredited Respiratory program. Experience - One year of allied health experience preferred. Licensure: Basic Life Support Physical Requirements - Repetitive use of hands and fingers; may require lifting and carrying of light loads (up to 40 pounds), including boxes, equipment, IV ; solutions and stooping and kneeling; sitting, walking, or standing fir long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment required for the job.
