Wasabi Sushi Bar has been building its brand and serving the St. Louis metro community Japanese cuisine and sushi since 2003! Our Edwardsville location was established in 2009 and has been thriving ever since!We are looking to expand and are in need of additional line cooks who are motivated and hungry to learn! We will train an individual on knife skills, Japanese cooking, and expediting. We offer competitive hourly rates. We also offer a 401k plan and health insurance for full time employees.The line cooks responsibility is to run the line in the kitchen with the support of a prep cook and a fry cook. They will need to keep a clean and safe kitchen. They need to have focus and a calm disposition to accurately call out drops for the fry cook, while working sauté or the wok. They also will need to be mindful of keeping pace with the sushi chefs.Other responsibilities include: plating organizing deliveries helping with inventory Qualifications: Ability to regularly lift 30lbs and occasionally lift 50lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Day/night and weekend availability Food handler certification Job Posted by ApplicantPro
