The Denver Athletic Club Early Childhood Center is looking for an individual who is interested in becoming a part of a successful team of teachers who go above and beyond for their students. As a member of the Children's Center you have the ability to empower children with the skills and knowledge to conquer the world. We as a team believe that with the collaboration between supervisors, teachers, and parents; we can foster the growth of strong and independent infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Our team of teachers is committed to creating vibrant centers of learning, supporting positive experiences, and fostering growth and development of our students. At the DAC you will be a part of a welcoming group of teachers and staff. The management team consists of former teachers who understand the challenges and dedication of being a full time teacher, caregiver, and nurturer. We strive to take care of our teachers and their values by giving them: growth opportunities, support and resources, having transparency, listening to concerns, and celebrating their hard-work. Becoming a part of our family includes luxuries like 2 fifteen minute breaks, one hour lunch breaks, planning time, supply and resource area, teacher's lounge, and more. This full-time Toddler position is open to a passionate, well-rounded individual. Students in the Toddler program range between ages (1-2 ½) split between two classrooms. Teachers part of the Toddler Program will have the support, autonomy, communication, and confidence to provide the best experience for our students. Job Responsibilities Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of toddlers. Observes all rules and regulations at The Denver Athletic Club and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children. Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis. Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations. Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence. Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions. Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines are necessary. Qualifications Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. 2-year degree in early childhood or related field preferred Benefits Health & Dental Insurance Discounted downtown parking and bus pass PTO time Paid holidays Professional development training You must be able to pass an extensive background check, fingerprinting, and drug test Job Posted by ApplicantPro
