Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation Resident Relations Specialist Job Description Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation (SHCC) is looking for a customer service oriented candidate to work in a fast-paced resident help desk environment. SHCC has served the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as high-performing Contract Administrator for over 22 years. In this role, we are proud to serve over 60,000 households in the states of Texas and Arkansas to ensure they receive healthy and safe housing through a high-level leasing and management service in accordance with HUD's mission. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: Open Until Filled What you will do in this position: Receives, reviews and responds to customer calls, emails, and letters on a wide variety of concerns, including (but not limited to): unaddressed maintenance issues, property policies, rent calculations, utility disruptions, interpersonal conflicts Ensures that all calls are addressed in a friendly and professional manner and that initial follow up communication occurs within specific timeframes Researches HUD policies and provides education and guidance to residents and owners/agents. Performs timely and accurate data entry Maintains accurate documentation for each concern and follows up with all parties until fully resolved Communicates clearly and concisely via phone and email with owners, agents, and HUD representatives More about this position: The right candidate will possess the following skills: Experience providing compassionate and professional customer service to a wide variety of clientele Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to multitask Experience in affordable housing or government industry is preferred, but not required. Strong computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Document Management System experience is a plus!)
