The Agronomy Internship will consist of hands-on opportunities where the candidate can spend as little or as much time in any one of our positions. THe intern will spend time in the office {if desired} to learn how the blend of chemicals reaches the control system to be sent to the fields, learn how chemicals are mixed, where they are applied and how to apply them. The intern will have opportunities to interact with applicators, customers, internal and external salesmen, and other company personnel. The internship will have opportunities to gain experience in the day-to-day operations, while providing customer service to those purchasing chemicals directly as well as through our mixed loads. Although agronomy knowledge is beneficial, no previous work experience is required. Our goal is to create a program that is an excellent learning experience for anyone interested in agronomy, applicating, general agriculture, seed sales, and general sales. The internship will be tailored to the interests of the intern and experience level to maximize the learning experience. It will be an opportunity to make money while having more than just an average summer internship. We can work with college credit requirements with prior notice. Ability to work independently for extended periods of time Ability to spend long periods of time being on your feet; including walking, standing, climbing steps and ladders Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds and wear all protective equipment when/if applicable Ability to shovel, sweep, load, unload, lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds frequently Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions Duties and Responsibilities: Scouting fields, introduction to mixing and application Assist in seed treatments Opportunity to assist with Agronomy office work {A/R, Field blends, etc} Assist with inventory process, product organization, general housekeeping and maintenance Assist with customer relations, in addition to mapping, loading, and general aerial season needs
