The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in community development transactions involving new markets tax credits (NMTCs), historic rehabilitation tax credits (HTCs), and/or renewable energy investment tax credits (RETCs). The associate will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's efforts in the field of tax credit and impact finance, contributing to complex transactions and legal strategies.Duties:Collaborate with senior attorneys to advise clients on community development transactions, focusing on NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs.Conduct legal research and analysis related to federal income tax laws and regulations applicable to tax credit and impact finance transactions.Draft and review transactional documents, including agreements, contracts, and financing documents.Support commercial real estate matters, commercial lending, and structured finance transactions.Requirements:0-5 years of transactional experience in a legal setting.Demonstrated interest and knowledge in community development transactions, particularly NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs.Commercial real estate experience, commercial lending experience, structured finance, and/or general federal income tax experience are beneficial.An active license to practice law is required.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active license to practice law.Skills:Superior academic performance.Excellent writing and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
