Paint Assistant I Mayday Manufacturing is a global leader in Aerospace machining and metal finishing in Denton, Texas and is a subsidiary of ESCO Technologies, a publicly-traded company. We are looking to add a 2nd and 3rd Shift Paint Assistant I position to help our team contribute to our advancement. Pay Range - $15.00 Full benefits package plus Vacation and Paid Days Off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, and Short-Term Disability insurance benefits, 401k Retirement Plan with Company Match, Employee Stock Purchasing Plan, Annual Profit-Sharing Bonus, Tuition Reimbursement Position Overview: The Paint Assistant I is responsible for preparing, racking, and assisting painters. You will learn practical experience, knowledge, and capabilities of performing paint prep processes and applicable inspection and testing methods. All paint assistant processes will be performed in accordance with customer specifications and requirements. Work will be done under close supervision. A day in the life of the Paint Assistant: Paint assistant has 2 roles. You will either prepare the parts for priming or rack the parts to prepare them for painting. Prepare the parts by counting, cleaning, and inspecting them for damage. Once the parts are prepared, move them over to paint processing so the painter can start working on the job. When the parts are painted, the parts will air-cure and be placed in the oven for curing according to instructions from the traveler document. Now check the parts for paint thickness and move the parts to the next operation.
