For nearly 30 years, ABC Children's Center has been serving the State College community. The University Drive location of ABC Children's Center is minutes from downtown State College and Penn State's campus. We have two openings for energetic individuals to work with our two Pre-K classes. Both positions are Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:30 with a one-hour break. Responsibilities include Implementing our Pre-K curriculum (Kaplan's Connect 4 Learning) Communicating daily with parents Maintaining a neat, organized classroom Providing a nurturing, caring environment for the children in your care Ability to work independently and within our team Qualifications At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED (Degree preferred) At least two years of experience with children (in a childcare center preferred) Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents, orally and in writing Have, or willing to get, required clearances (Within the last five years) Have, or willing to get, a physical with TB test (Within the last year) Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid holidays, after 90 days Paid vacation time, after 1 year Disability insurance Tuition assistance for higher education Weekends and evenings off ABC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
