Townsen Memorial is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our surgery center in Spring, TX. The ideal candidate will be energetic, knowledgeable, and a team player! RESPONSIBILITES: Escort patients around the facility, measures vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and give the information to the assigned nurse Maintains and responds to e-mails Ensures completeness and accuracy of all documentation Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements Assist staff in preop and pacu, under the direct supervision of an RN Prepares and ensures availability of patient stretchers to ensure consistent workflow Assist in positioning/moving patients throughout surgical process REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent (required) 1-year Medical Assistant experience (preferred) Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred) Medical Assistant Certification (preferred) BENEFITS Medical, Dental, Vision 401k with employer contribution PTO WORK WEEK SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday 7:30 AM- 3:30 PM ABOUT US : Townsen Memorial Hospital is a CIHQ-accredited surgical hospital that also has multiple outpatient departments in the Houston metropolitan area.
