The Foster Grandparent Program provides an opportunity for older men and women to interact with and mentor children through active involvement at locations such as nonprofit day care centers, Head Start, state-supported facilities, public and private schools, and home settings. The "grandparents" serve youth with exceptional and special needs. The Foster Grandparent Program is hiring a Coordinator to assist with program development, training, and outcome based performance. The Program Coordinator is responsible for recruting, training, and placing Foster Grandparent participants at workstations. Desired candidate should possess strong communication, computer skills, reliable attendance, and have a desire to help those in need. Our ideal candidate is an upbeat, compassionate individual. Requires High School diploma or GED. Prefer some college or post-secondary training. Requires 2 years of work experience in a position that provides activities for the elderly and/or administers human services. $16 per hour, full time Monday through Friday.
