General Information: Job title: LPN Location: Crest View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Available Positions: Full-time, 75 hours per pay period; Day shift 6:00 am-2:00pm Full-time, 75 hours per pay period; PM shift 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm Weekend rotation: Every other weekend Holiday rotation: Rotating holidays Position Summary: Works under the direction of a qualified professional nurse. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department and within the parameters of his or her preparation. Cooperates with the members of the nursing and medical staffs and other hospital departments. Position Responsibilities: Provides direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients based on the application of scientific principles, under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. Assists in preoperative, postoperative, and relevant health teaching for patient/resident and family. Shares responsibility for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans and nursing care. Participates in team conferences, sharing knowledge, information, and ideas among team members. Prepares, administers, and records medications in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed practical nurse. Performs more-complex nursing activities as competence increases. Participates in emergency care. Communicates frequently with the team leader regarding patients'/resident's physical and mental conditions. Records information concisely, accurately, and completely. Identifies and utilizes appropriate channels of communication. Constructively participates in appropriate committees within the nursing department and/or the hospital. Floats as requested by the DON/Charge Nurse/Designee. Follows No Pass Zone Protocol. Assists in the orientation of new personnel when requested. Performs other related duties as assigned. Provides direct resident care as needed. Position Requirements: Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program Current LPN license to practice in the state Required Skills: Current CPR certification Excellent customer service skills Self-directing Empathy for the needs of patients Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate through spoken and written English Treats patients and others with courtesy and respect Ensures confidentiality and security of patient's medical information Job Posted by ApplicantPro
