What would you do as Controller? You would be working directly for the CFO (near future CEO as CFO is leaving) performing controller functions while supervising a staff of three. You would be performing controller, general reporting, accounting, and other related duties. We would rely on you to provide detailed understanding and data driven reports. We count on manufacturing costs to quote customers, measure monthly results, and make capital investment and strategy decisions. We are a manufacturer. We would rely on you to provide management information on budgets, cash, margin, costs of materials, supplies, machinery, shipping, and other processes in the plant. We sell our products worldwide and are owned by a German company so familiarity with international accounting practices would be a benefit. You would maintain and improve the cost accounting system, policies, procedures, and methodologies to ensure timely and accurate reporting of cash, inventory, cost of goods sold, and margin. You would be analyzing cost records to determine areas of opportunity to reduce costs and improve the profitability of the company. You would also be working with outside auditors, gathering necessary account information/documents to perform the annual audit. You would aid in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP. You would be involved in the annual budget process and periodic forecasts as requested. What makes you qualified for this role? You need to have: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting Five years of experience in cost accounting Supervisory experience Intermediate MS Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office suite Ability to pay attention to details. Certification as CGMA, CMA, or CPA would be great!
