DESE Research, Inc. is seeking a Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) Engineer to join an exciting and growing team focused on the research and development of emerging cyber security practices and technologies that will harden and secure both existing and future systems used throughout the Department of Defense. Job Details: The DevSecOps Engineer will join a team of engineers and cybersecurity analysts to automate and optimize existing manual Software Assurance practices leveraged by the DoD in ensuring our national security interests. The goal is to assist the DoD in building quality pipelines that go beyond regression testing and increased code quality to also provide automated vulnerability detection, reduced attack surface, interface and state fuzzing, and much more. Required Education Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field with 2+ years of experience preferred US Government Security Clearance Eligibility: Applicants must be eligible to receive at least a secret security clearance. Required Skills and Experience: Experience with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment automation architecture such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Travis CI Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or Bash Ability to develop solutions within a Linux environment Understanding of cloud-hosted frameworks and tools such as OpenStack, AWS, Azure, or GCP Demonstrated use of virtualization, container, and/or microservices management technologies technologies such as VMWare, QEMU, Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes Familiarity with the Agile software development process Ability to work in a collaborative environment, including government representatives and other contractors and companies Strength in converting design concepts into production level tools and capabilities Desired Skills and Experience: Familiarity with computer networking concepts, technologies, and protocols Knowledge or experience with binary analysis tools such as BAP Familiarity with observability patterns such as centralized logging, monitoring, and distributed request tracing Experience working with Department of Defense or intelligence agencies and systems *All applicants must be fully COVID-19 Vaccinated to be considered for employment at DESE Research, Inc.* Why employee's love working for DESE: At DESE, we are committed to creating a company that is known for its respect and care for employee's.
