Like every WindRiver area, Accounting supports, collaborates and team-works with all departments, staff, and services. Position Summary: The Controller provides complete, hands-on accounting responsibilities for WindRiver's businesses and related entities. The Controller has fiduciary responsibility for the owner, WindRiver, and affiliated interests and entities. This position is a key hands-on accounting and management role. The Controller manages a small accounting team that is a combination of on-premises and remote professionals. Responsibilities: Managing WindRiver accounting and action platforms, including Sage Intaact, Jonas Club Software, Bill.com, Asana, Microsoft Teams, and more. Prepare and provide monthly financial reporting for the WindRiver and Norton Creek HOAs Reconcile American Express account statements Support accounts payable through daily monitoring and assisting with sorting, coding, and uploading invoices and electronic payments into accounting software Prepare and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and statements Provide weekly payable reports, variance reports, check run summary and details and aging reports Prepare and report all monthly bank account reconciliations for all checking accounts, payroll accounts, accounts payables, and accounts receivables accounts Prepare and provide monthly payroll tax, state sales tax, quarterly and annual federal income tax, liquor tax, and licenses Implement and supervise daily and weekly cash flow via accounting software system Partner with Human Resources on payroll, benefits, and related HR business Provide accurate accounting and financial documentation to corporate CPA for purposes of annual tax returns Conduct periodic inventory verification via physical inventory count Maintain appropriate record keeping and financials for all applicable HOA and sub-associations, by assigned day of each month Oversee all accounts receivable: verify all deposits, funding transfers, credit card payment processing, ACH, etc. Oversee all accounts payable: verify all payables are accurate, timely, verify validity of vendors and subcontractors and that payables match budgets and or approved ROI's, MRO's, etc. Ensure the efficient and timely submission of all required operational, financial, budgetary and related reports Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: 5-10 years' experience in Accounting Bachelor's degree in related field required CPA preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Maintain knowledge of current and projected industry developments through continuous attention to industry information Willingness to participate in relevant trade associations and organizations Ability to remain positive in both service and relationships with staff, guests, and Members Excellent skills with the Microsoft 365 Suite Excellent track record of communication skills Strong organizational skills Work as a team player with a professional demeanor
