Summary of position: The primary purpose of this position will act as the assistant to the General Manager in managing the hotel's operations, maintaining established revenue, cost, quality, safety, and security. Directly responsible for all Rooms Division to include Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Security. Assists in t h e de v el o pm e nt o f new pr o g r ams whi c h r e sult in an i nc r e a sed le v el o f gue s t satisfaction a nd o peratio n al ex c elle n ce. Qualifications: Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred but not required. State Alcohol Certification required or ability to obtain one. State Food Handlers required or ability to obtain one. High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree or 5+ years hotel/restaurant management experience. College level reasoning, math and language skills. Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States. Basic mathematical skills and considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderatelycomplex mathematical calculations without error. Ability to listen effectively and to speak English clearly to communicate with customers andteam members and prepare written complex reports. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. Must have coordinating skills as pertains to determining time, place and sequence of operationsor action. Ability to analyze information and make effective judgments. All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specificstandards available).
