Field Service Technician

With customers around the world and the United States, Bitrode is looking for someone to take care of our World-Class Cell, Module, and Pack Battery Testing Equipment onsite at the customer's location. We are looking for someone to represent Bitrode to the customers while being there to service our products and/or return them to full working order. This job is not for everyone as there will extensive in-house training prior to visiting our customers and then 50% of your time is spent traveling to customers. The position will be based in St. Louis, MO. We feel you would need to be able to... learn our products, communicate clearly and effectively, find the right solution to a problem, improve processes and procedures, pay attention to the details, take the practical approach, and be a contributing member of a team. In order to do this role, you will need to have: Ability to travel domestically and internationally for service calls (travel up to 50% of the time) Minimum of a two-year degree in Electrical Engineering or similar electrical knowledge Schematic reading and knowledge of electrical/electronic circuitry is essential Previous knowledge and experience with multimeters, voltmeters, HiPot test equipment, and oscilloscope preferred Ability to use shop and hand tools to work on equipment Ability to troubleshoot customer issues via email, phone, and onsite Your responsibilities would include: Learn our each product's specifications in-house prior to travel Be the face of Bitrode while at customers working on our products Perform services duties while building a relationship with the customer to increase our service business Ensure products meet customer specifications as well as any safety and quality requirements Troubleshoot various electrical problems by thinking critically to solve complex problems Recognize and report quality issues through the correct channels as they arise Calibrate our products for the customer Testing of products at power levels up to 600VAC 3-phase and 2000VDC Record data, write reports, and process paperwork accurately Use multi-meters, HiPot test equipment, digital oscilloscope, PC based monitoring, and variable transformers Your benefits would include: Travel premium for customer visits Medical with either FSA or HSA offering, dental, vision, life as elected, effective 1st of month following 30 days of employment Company paid basic life and long term disability Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401K available with company match after 6 months of employment
