Description:
Position Overview Responsible for development of data-driven solutions to the AMS's business problems. The focus is on implementing a global corporate PowerBI reporting environment centered around Microsoft Dynamics365. Specific areas of responsibility include finance, PD, and other operational areas.Utilizes analytical, statistical, and programming skills to clean, aggregate, and analyze large data sets and interpret results. Responsible for creating and maintaining scalable, reliable, consistent and repeatable platforms, systems, and models that support data, data products, and analytical products. Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities Ability to translate business requirements into robust, well documented, end to end data driven solutions. Leverage programming languages as necessary to develop data sets to provide insights to the business. Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Creates complex reports and dashboards using visual analytics and business intelligence tools like Tableau and Power BI. Provide strategic recommendations and implementations for data architectures, data collection processes, and analytics platform integration. Oversee large-scale exploratory data analyses for new data sources and/or provide oversight for new uses for existing data sources. Assist in establishing links across existing data sources and new data correlations. Assist in the design, selection, modification, documentation, and training related to data strategy as it relates to operational toolsets. Develop data analysis from various sources to drive decision support and improvement of organization strategies. Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources/attributes and data collection techniques. Work with structured and unstructured data to prepare in-depth analysis, including the normalization and canonicalization of data to ensure consistent inputs. Establish frameworks and automation for data processing and analysis. Develop complex custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets and extract additional insights. Present results and build consensus with key decision-makers. Mentor, educate, and provide leadership to data analysts, and business intelligence analysts. Additional Functions, Duties & Accountabilities Serve as a member of Information Technology Team and support others as necessary. Maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs. Actively and positively contribute to the overall success of the company through regular contributions. Participate and provide leadership in inter-departmental meetings, projects, and informal activities. Support the company and other departments wherever and whenever needed. Requirements Educational Requirements 4-year bachelor's degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field. Experience and Skills At least 4-6 years of experience Advanced experience with Python, and/or R Advanced SQL, Data Management, and Documentation Experience Knowledge of Power BI Languages DAX, M, and star schema modeling a plus Experience with ETL (Azure Data Factory, SSIS, etc.) Experience with Databricks and/or Synapse Experience in data mining and complex statistical analysis Acute attention to detail with the ability to produce extremely accurate calculations as articulated by business users and product owners Ability to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills Experience in complex Machine Learning techniques such as deep learning, neural networks, natural language processing Experience with Model Governance and Metadata Management Experience with unstructured data and document-based systems (NoSQL, Data Lakes) Strong sense of ownership as a technical and product leader Through command of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms Demonstrated practical ability to determine where to invest time, synthesize actionable findings across diverse assignments Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to present findings to audiences with diverse agendas and varying levels of technical expertise
