General Summary of Duties: Performs echo's, stress echo's, AV optimizations and other related exams on patients according to established standards and practices. Examples of Duties: ( This list may not include all of the duties assigned ) Prepares patient for scheduled testing and explains procedures to patient. Performs Echo's Stress Echo's or AV optimizations. Delivers Echo's, Stress Echo's or AV optimizations to physicians for interpretation. Maintains records, files, and related information. Maintains equipment. Orders supplies and equipment. Participates in clinic educational programs. Maintains unit in a clean and orderly manner. Keeps equipment in good working condition. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. Enhances professional growth and development through in-services meetings and education programs. Maintains patient confidentiality. Performs related work as required. Performance Requirements Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of Echo testing to operate and maintain equipment. Knowledge of Echo examination and diagnostic testing procedures. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and cardiology. Knowledge of common safety hazards and safety precautions to establish and maintain a safe working environment. Skill in administering a variety of tests as directed. Skill in eliciting appropriate information and gaining cooperation from patients. Ability to apply written guidelines, procedures, and standardize work practices. Ability to establish effective working relationships and to communicate effectively. High school diploma/GED. Completion of Technical/Vocational course in Echo Cardiography. One year of experience preferred. Must also be Registered or Registry eligible. Computer experience required. Bond Clinic is a Drug Free Workplace and an equal opportunity employer.
