The Champaign County Humane Society seeks an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our animal care staff. This is a full-time position, $15.00 per hour with benefits. Primary responsibilities include sanitization and maintenance of animal kennels and facilities, daily feeding, animal intakes, and data entry. Other responsibilities include kennel enrichment and socialization of our animal residents. This is a physically demanding position that may require heavy lifting, exposure to high noise levels, and exposure to cleaning chemicals. Those interested in applying must have animal handling experience and be knowledgeable in animal behavior.Full time employee benefits include paid vacation, holiday comp time, an employee health insurance plan, and a Simple IRA plan.
