As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for serving as a key member of the finance department and ensuring the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the organization. Responsibilities include: Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts each month. Support the month end and yearly closing process. Responsible for fixed asset accounting and project actual versus budget monthly reporting. Supports cost accounting processes including following up on inventory discrepancies and manufacturing variances. Serves as backup for Accounts Payable. Prepares monthly use tax reports. Responsible for supporting all internal and external audits as directed by management. Prepares lease schedules and responsible for maintaining all lease records. Other tasks as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must be able write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, vendors, and other parties associated with the company. Must be able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of trigonometry. Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must have knowledge of Tier 1 ERP Business Systems Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Must be able to work well with others and perform duties professionally under pressure. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS None. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
