Swank Construction Company's Virginia Beach Saw/Seal Division is seeking a Shop Mechanic. Competitive pay rates and excellent benefits available. TO BE CONSIDERED A QUALIFIED APPLICANT: Must perform general maintenance on company vehicles, machinery, and equipment. Ability to troubleshoot reported problems and repair them in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to inspect company vehicles, machinery, and equipment using diagnostic systems to maintain usage. Must perform oil and grease changes, tire changes, grinding, welding, fabricating, and other maintenance as needed. Must maintain company tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure proper use. Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA. Perform all other duties as assigned. Must be dependable, Reliable, Punctual, & Self Motivated. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license required. Relevant certifications are a plus. Minimum of two years (2) experience working as a Mechanic in a shop environment - Preferred. Familiarity with heavy highway construction equipment/machinery- Preferred Mechanical aptitude - Required Using/learning to use different hand/power tools, systems, machinery, and equipment - Required.
