Do you have a love for animals and teaching people about them as the Zoo Education Assistant? Apply online today. Pay rate: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour.We are one park district, one community. Perform on-site educational tours. Perform on-site educational programming which includes live animal programs. Conduct birthday parties with an environmental emphasis. Outreach educational programs including Zoo Mobile and nature programs. Assist in planning and implementation of animal theme days and special events. Train and supervise Zoo volunteers. Produce educational printed materials such as, brochures, self-guided tours, and materials for educators. Participate in training of animals used in educational programs. Wear proper designated uniform during regular Zoo hours. Please see the attachment for the job description.
