Who We Are Seeking AHCCS is seeking a student focused, passionate, and motivating Math Teacher for Summer School! Summer School will run from Thursday, June 22, 2023 through Friday, August 4, 2023 with live classes Monday-Thursday and asynchronous class on Fridays. Summer School Teachers will have the following responsibilities: Act as a lead/co-teacher for one class, a support teacher in at least 1 other class, and hold office hours for one class period in the drop-in center. Hold 45-minute-long live classes and track attendance daily. Be online and available Monday - Thursday from 8:30-11:30 for the live classes and office hours during regular hours. Finding coverage if you cannot teach your live class on any given day because you need the day off and are unable to attend live class sessions. No classes are to be canceled. Grading assignments by the end of shift the following day. Who You Will Report To: Principal Position Type: Temporary, non-exempt What Skills and Knowledge You Can Bring Positive and encouraging outlook Excellent verbal and written communication skills In-depth knowledge of math Effectively demonstrate numeric functions, equations, and various mathematical principles to students. Proficient use of technology including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Ability to multitask and effectively manage time under pressure Education and Experience A Bachelor's degree preferred. A PA Teaching certificate in Mathematics is required; 7-12 or K-8 certification is preferred. Cyber school experience is a positive factor. Required Certificates/Clearances: Child abuse and criminal background clearances are required, including Act 168 Disclosure/Release. Must also complete Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training. Where You'd Be Located We are located in Exton, PA. This position offers the opportunity to work from home depending on location.
