Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: San Antonio, TX onsite or hybrid with onsite and work from-home Full Time, Exempt Summary of Position Provide mechanical design expertise for assigned projects Duties/Responsibilities Design mechanical components and assemblies and provide documentation as specified to include integration, design obsolescence, studies, and installation of designed hardware Create models and drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Develop mechanical design package to support fabrication of assemblies and systems Support technical team with quotes for business development Organizes directs, and coordinates activities associated with assigned projects Develop and coordinate drawing and mechanical design standards Required Qualifications Citizenship verification required due to Export Control compliance. A "US Person" is defined by 22 F.R. ยง 120.15 which includes US Citizens, lawful permanent residents, certain refugee or asylee designations. Willing to undergo an investigation for a security clearance and not previously had a security clearance denied or dismissed. 10 years' experience in mechanical design Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Proficiency using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Experience with ASME Y14.5 Drawing Dimensioning Familiarity with material properties for common metal alloys Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude Frequently remain in stationary position, frequently operate computers and other office equipment, frequently communicate to exchange information with people via voice and/or written language, occasionally carry and/or lift items up to 20 pounds, and occasionally move about the office to access office equipment. Preferred Qualifications Active Secret Security Clearance Familiarity with AS9100D or ISO 9001 quality standards Experience with mechanical design supporting electrical and electronics systems Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation
