Summer Recreation Counselor School will soon be out for the Summer! The Pine Community Center is looking for qualified individuals to fill the position(s) of seasonal part-time Summer recreation program counselor. If you enjoy summer fun, games, crafts, and making new friends, then join us at the Pine Community Center for the Summer Rec program. Guaranteed to make you smile! Seasonal work is limited to 16 weeks or less. Must be available June 12th - August 4th Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM *Additional hours available Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Key Position Requirements: Experience working with Elementary children in an educational, recreational, or organized setting is desired. Lead and assist campers with activities/games planned by the camp director and assistant director. Plan and implement your own activities/games for your assigned group. Monitor assigned campers to ensure health and safety. Willingness to accept additional hours to work camp field trips or extended camp days. Set a good example for campers by displaying sportsmanship, respect, and friendliness. Encourage and require respect for camp equipment, personal property, and the facility. Establish good communication and relationships with the campers, other counselors, and staff of the Pine Community Center. Position Requires the following Pennsylvania Clearances: (Detailed information regarding PA Clearances may be found at www.KeepKidsSafe.PA.gov - "Get a Clearance") PA Child Abuse Clearance PA State Police Criminal Background Check Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Check (Fingerprinting) Keep Kids Safe - Training for Mandated Reporters
