SUMMARY OF POSITION The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling company products and services to existing and potential customers. As a primary contact in the assigned geography, it is the Outside Sales responsibility to have a complete understanding of the sales opportunity available. They will be responsible for establishing and working towards sales goals established from historical information. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Develop and maintain a sales and strategy forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in territory for maximum productivity and sales growth utilizing all available resources. Allocate 80% of your time for customer interactions, site visits, and actively pursuing sales. Establish and maintain customer relationships with the intent to grow profitable sales. Follow-up on all generated and document the Generate leads to support new growth within your specified geography. Develop effective and productive relationships with all internal team members and stakeholders to maximize exposure of Thomas Pump to our customers while maintaining a professional image in self and work environment in the office and while traveling. Understand the competitive install base and the total opportunity within assigned territory and report competitive conditions and customer feedback to management. Develop superior product knowledge through product training classes to handle customer applications including, but not limited to, assisting customers with problem-solving involving project layout/design and project management decisions. Complete sales call and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with the company Achieve personal development through goal setting and establishing objectives. Perform other related functions as may be required. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED/HiSet and; Bachelor's degree in sales or closely related field with three years of relevant sales and industry experience; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities listed below and other characteristics to perform the duties of the position.
