Plant Manager Position Summary: RPI, a global leader in print-on demand, is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Plant Manager for our Atlanta manufacturing facility. Reporting to the North America General Manager, the Plant Manager will be responsible for directing and overseeing all operations ensuring that safety, quality, production, maintenance, and shipping objectives are met. The plant manager will implement, in cooperation with other RPI facilities, RPI standardized policies, procedures, and best practices that guide productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. This role requires utilizing operational metrics to analyze productivity, establish performance targets to achieve production goals, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Directs and coordinates all operations for RPI's manufacturing plant Collaborates with other facility plant managers to develops and implement standard best practices and strategic decisions for operational efficiency and preventive maintenance plans Maintains operational schedules and ensures timely delivery of products Reviews production costs and efficiencies, implementing necessary changes Develops and deploys manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement - eliminating and preventing fatal quality errors such as "not-mines" Develops and implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations Responsible for building a positive culture of teamwork and collaboration. Works with HR partner to ensure that employee well-being and safety concerns are addressed Oversees staffing, development and training for production supervisors and staff Collaborates with multi-disciplinary plant teams, including finance, supply chain, product engineering, product management, IT, and HR Works with Operational Excellence team to develop capital expense ROIs and recommendations Collaborates with General Manager to develop the annual facility budget to include all salaries and expenses May be asked to attend customer and supplier meetings and/or presentations Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages supervisors and their employees in Production, Material Control, Maintenance and Shipping. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including but not limited to: Interviewing and training employees Planning, delegating, and directing tasks Managing employee performance, review process, implementing rewards and disciplinary actions, and resolving conflicts. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in a manufacturing environment 5+ years of plant management, manufacturing, or operations experience Strong understanding of the production process (print on demand preferred) Proficiency in lean thinking and problem-solving skills, utilizing lean manufacturing tools and techniques for process improvement Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and lead production teams Proven ability to work cross-functionally with all business units Superior organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Company Summary: RPI Print, headquartered in Seattle, WA is a print partner focused on making brands successful.
