Reports to: Agency Manager Location(s): Perham, inside United Community Bank building Classification: Full-time Hourly, non-exemptAt United Community Insurance, we aim to serve our customers with integrity and care, provide the best insurance products for their needs, and help secure their future. The CSR/Service Associate will be responsible to provide exceptional customer service to our current clients both in person and over the phone, and provide assistance to the Agents. Our business is rapidly growing and we are looking to hire the right individual to join our team for this full-time, benefit eligible position. Job Summary: The CSR/Service Associate position will involve answering customer phone calls, providing customer service to agency customers, receiving and processing insurance payments for existing customers, drafting letters & reports, and other additional clerical duties as directed by the agents. Essential Functions: Receptionist Provides exceptional customer service to insurance clients. Answers phone calls in alignment with established business standards, and returns calls promptly and professionally. Greets customers entering the office in a friendly and helpful manner. Administrative Assistant Verifies phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses with each customer contact in order to maintain the most up to date information on insurance clients. Accepts premium payments. Manages files and documentation. Performs job duties according to department policies, procedures and practices. Competencies: Exceptional customer service skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Organization skills Dependability Client relationships Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one-year experience working in a customer service capacity preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle customers with various dispositions. Must be able to perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment required. Some working knowledge of the Microsoft Office platform of products required. Insurance industry or agency experience and knowledge is not required but would be a plus. Property and Casualty license is a plus, or we would be willing to support the employee in obtaining these licenses after hire. United Community Insurance is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
