Just a 100 yard walk from the plaza you'll find over 2,000 wines from around the world. La Casa Sena Wine Shop specializes in personal attention with a knowledgeable staff, offering selections of approachable and fine wines. The Wine Shop Retail Clerk is enthusiastic, energetic & wine-knowledgeable and possesses a proven sales ability. The Retail Clerk is passionate about wine and excels at both hospitality and sales and is eagerly able to discuss wine, beer and spirits with our customers. Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid/current Alcohol Server Certification Must have valid/current Identification information to work in the United States 2+ years of experience working in the wine industry a plus Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: Commitment to excellence in customer service Ability to listen and determine guest needs Helps guests navigate through a large inventory of wines Assist in maintaining a clean work environment and pleasant retail store Assist with special events as needed Assist with inventory Responsible for proper cash handling and credit & debit card transactions Ability and a desire to gain and maintain a knowledge of wines, beers and spirits and eagerly share that knowledge with customers Attend all mandatory in-house trainings Qualifications & Characteristics Impeccable integrity, honesty and trustworthiness Professional attitude, appearance and demeanor and a strong work ethic Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use POS systems and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook Exceptional listening, communication and presentation skills, including the skills necessary to deal tactfully and professionally with customers, employees, management and vendors Ability to take direction Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to arrive on-time and work shifts as scheduled Working Conditions Hours may vary and you must have flexible availability to work nights, weekends and holidays. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods, walk, reach with arms and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions. The position also requires bending, twisting, and lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
